MORNING DIG (sinful sunday)

By | 11th April 2020

I wouldn’t say I had yet fully made the conversion to happy gardener; my work tends to come in sporadic, short bursts, but I certainly tackle it more willingly than I used to. It provides a healthy and potentially productive way to fill the long, empty gaps that Covid-bloody-19 has forced into my life.

I think my first crop this year will be broad beans, if I can find some. My dad always used to produce broad beans, pounds and pounds and pounds of them. I rather like the idea of taking him some that I’d grown, and serving them with a fresh-made parsley sauce, just as my mum would have done before Alzheimer’s got its malign teeth into her faculties.

This location of this shot is more to do with proximity to the house than by what really needed doing in the garden this morning. I wonder if anybody saw me.

This is, of course, yet another “Big man does the chores” shot. When I can get back with her, I’ll produce something more original; more intimate and erotic perhaps. For now I have to work with the limited material available!

Stay safe. No, really, I mean it: stay safe.

Naked gardening… now that is a way to spend the Sunday, for sure. Love the image, and let’s hope we can get out sooner rather than later, in a safe way!

Gardening is a great exercise both mentally and physically. Preparing for the future in a careful way.
I wonder what chore will be next weeks photograph?!
    Loving them all.
