WOK IT (sinful sunday)

I admit it; I enjoyed the appreciation of my last Sinful Sunday. If you get to my age, and you spend as much time as I do complaining about your own body, publishing a picture of it that gets a bunch of favourable comments, and a Sinful Sunday top five call out, is a fun… Read More »

APART

I got into trouble on twitter once for referring to ours as a “distance” relationship. The 50 or so miles that separate us and the “see each other most weeks” nature of it clearly seem like unimaginable luxury to those struggling to make attachments work over much greater distances. But apart is apart, and I… Read More »

BLOGGING. LIFE. OTHER STUFF.

It may not have escaped the notice of regular readers that my customary, two posts a week, blogging output has dried up somewhat over the last several months. In part, this is because I’ve been struggling to work out what I actually want this blog to be in my new life, or if it has… Read More »

FLOUR (sinful sunday)

Finding myself unexpectedly home alone this Sunday, and a little hungover after a wonderful party last night, I’ve given myself a free pass and am having a somewhat unambitious day.

THE MORNING AFTER… (sinful Sunday)

I knew as soon as I saw the apartment on Airbnb I would have to rent it for us. If you were to ask me what decorating style I like, I’d probably answer modern Scandinavian (no, not Ikea) or perhaps New England. In short, the absolute antithesis of this place.

PLAYING WITH ROPE (sinful sunday)

We want to explore rope more and my capability is strictly limited. I’d like to find a shibari course we could do together. In the meantime, there’s YouTube and, in the absence of a suitable model, myself.

WANTING

It’s Saturday morning and I’m sat in the kitchen. Leonard Cohen is doing his thing in the background (I love his last three albums), I have coffee and have just finished the scrambled eggs I made myself. This relaxation feels guilt-free because I can vaguely here the noise of the washing machine from the utility… Read More »

IN THE WINDOW (sinful sunday)

I wonder what they’d think, the owners of our cosy little seaside Airbnb cottage, if they saw this shot, taken in the cool early morning light in a brief gap between passing dog walkers.
