THE CROOK AND THE FLAIL (sinful sinday)

By | 28th March 2020

Last week, found me pulling things out of my, currently unused, BDSM toy bag to create a somewhat submissive shot. This week, I’ve been in the bag again, but have gone for somethign more dominant.

I was holding the implements in this pose for a while, messing around with camera angles (like I know what that even means) before I realised why the pose felt familiar. It is the Crook and Flail pose, favoured in ancient Egyptian imagary, the Pharoah displaying the twin symbols of pharonic authority.

It’s been some time since I’ve been able to put these symbols of Domic authority (Domic so is a word!) to their proper use, but hopefully they will, eventually, be taken out of the bag with more malicious intent than was the case this evening.

Ah well.

Movie night I think. Manged to find a nice steak today and some wine to have with it. By such simple pleasures are our days in isolation marked out.

If we’re lucky.

I wrote a post about surviving lockdown. It’s a surprisingly upbeat message from someone who usually thinks of themself as a grumpy bastard. You can find it here.

    That flail looks positively evil.

We didn’t find ant meat other than steak, although had to replace our usual fillet with a sirloin but I was not complaining!

It’s definitely good to see these implements. I like seeing toys and thinking about how they will be put to use in the future.
